How does ZenIncome charge?▾
ZenIncome uses a "pay only when you earn" model. Your lending funds always stay in your own Bitfinex account — we never touch your capital. The only fee is 4.88% of your daily lending earnings as a strategy service fee. This is deducted from your pre-loaded ZenIncome platform balance, not from your Bitfinex account. The system deducts Bitfinex lending rate × 4.88% from your top-up balance after interest is received. No earnings = no fees. Note: Your ZenIncome platform balance and Bitfinex account balance are completely separate. Top-ups are for paying the service fee, not lending capital.
How do I top up?▾
Go to the 'Top Up' page, enter the amount, and follow the instructions to transfer from Bitfinex to the specified address. The system scans every 10 minutes for confirmation. Only Bitfinex transfers are supported — internal transfers are fee-free.
What is Bitfinex Funding (Lending)?▾
Just like traditional banks lend money to those who need it and collect interest, Bitfinex allows users to lend out their idle funds and earn interest. USD and USDT have the highest borrowing demand and best lending rates. For example, approximately $10 billion USD is lent out monthly on the platform for traders to use in leveraged trading. It's a relatively low-risk passive income method.
What's the typical annual return rate for lending?▾
It fluctuates with market conditions, typically between 5%–20%. During high volatility, borrowing demand increases and rates can spike above 30%. The long-term average is around 10%–15% APR — far higher than traditional bank deposits.
Which currencies are supported for lending?▾
ZenIncome currently supports USD and USDT lending — the two most in-demand and liquid currencies on Bitfinex.
What is the minimum lending amount?▾
Bitfinex requires a minimum of 150 USD/USDT per lending offer. Amounts below this cannot be placed.
How long are funds locked?▾
The lending period is the number of days your funds are locked after being borrowed, ranging from 2 to 120 days. Funds cannot be withdrawn during this period. Longer periods usually get higher rates but less liquidity. ZenIncome automatically selects the optimal period based on market conditions.
When does lending interest get credited?▾
Bitfinex lending interest is settled and credited daily around 9–10 AM (UTC+8). You can check your daily earnings on ZenIncome's earnings dashboard.
Should funds be in Funding Wallet or Exchange Wallet?▾
Lending funds must be in your Funding Wallet. If your funds are in the Exchange Wallet, you need to transfer them to the Funding Wallet first. ZenIncome's strategy automatically manages available funds in your Funding Wallet.
How does ZenIncome's rate strategy work?▾
Our algorithm analyzes Bitfinex's order book depth, current FRR, historical rate trends, and more, placing offers across multiple rate tiers to achieve a higher average rate than a single FRR while maintaining a high fill rate.
How often does the strategy execute?▾
Every 2 minutes by default. Each execution checks market changes, cancels unsuitable offers, and re-places them at better rates.
Why is my strategy showing an error?▾
Common causes: 1) API key permissions are insufficient or expired 2) Funding Wallet balance is too low (below 150 USD/USDT) 3) Platform balance is depleted (needs top-up). Check your API key status and wallet balance to resolve.
Can I lend both USD and USDT simultaneously?▾
Yes. You can create separate lending strategies for USD and USDT, and they operate independently. We're also developing a dual-currency auto-rebalancing feature that adjusts fund allocation based on exchange rate and rate differentials.
Why does the rate on my dashboard differ from Bitfinex?▾
ZenIncome shows the weighted average daily rate calculated from all your actual filled lending orders, which may differ from the real-time FRR displayed on Bitfinex's homepage. FRR is the live market rate, while your actual earnings depend on the rate at the time of fill.
Can ZenIncome access my funds?▾
No. We only require Funding (lending) read and write permissions to view wallet balances and place lending offers. The system rejects any API key with Withdraw permission enabled. Your funds always stay in your own Bitfinex account.
How are API keys protected?▾
All API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, each with a unique random nonce. Even if the database were compromised, keys cannot be decrypted without the master key. We recommend setting up IP whitelisting on your Bitfinex API key for additional security.
What are the risks of lending?▾
Main risks include: 1) Platform risk — Bitfinex as a centralized exchange has theoretical risk 2) Liquidity risk — funds are locked during the lending period 3) Rate risk — market rates may decline. Compared to trading, lending risk is relatively low since borrowers must maintain sufficient collateral.
Are my funds safe if a borrower gets liquidated?▾
Bitfinex has robust risk management. Borrowers must maintain sufficient margin, and positions are force-liquidated when margin is insufficient, protecting lenders' funds. Historically, Bitfinex lending funds have never been lost due to borrower liquidation.
What API key permissions should I set?▾
Only enable: 1) Funding — Read + Write 2) Wallets — Read. Never enable Withdraw permission. We also recommend binding your API key to our server IP whitelist.
